Our Story
Chef Matthew Byrne started cooking at the age of 13 with his grandmother. Ten years later he was working at Philadelphia’s finest restaurants. His talent, creativity and energy was recognized by Philadelphia’s elite and lead him into the private chef industry. After working between Philadelphia and Palm Beach for 12 years, Matthew was recruited by Tiger Woods as his private chef.
Kitchen was conceived October 2013. Matthew and his wife, Aliza wanted to recreate their kitchen at home. The concept was quite simple; buy the freshest, and do as little to it as possible. They wanted to have a small, intimate and sophisticated space that was an extension of how they lived and entertained at home. With an ever-changing menu, kitchen is a place for real “foodies”.
Playing off the success of kitchen wpb. We are pleased to announce the opening of kitchen “north” in Alton town center. Our goal is to spread our love of food and hospitality to our family and friends in north county.
